JumpstART Weekend in Kalamazoo
What is JumpstART Weekend?
Jumpstart Weekend is the official start of the summer event series. It's been a long-standing tradition, called Super Saturday, and then Super Saturday Weekend. And, there was even a time when we called it June Jubilee. The weekend highlights the following major events, while celebrating many more events that round out the "edges" of the traditions that make this first full weekend in June an annual "big deal."
The weekend of activities also includes the many specials and wonderful food found throughout downtown at our restaurants and retail shops. It's a weekend when the doors open and everything is celebrating the great things available in the greater Kalamazoo region. The Children's Nature Playscape also kicks off the weekend with open doors on Friday night and Saturday - before and after Do-Dah Parade. The Kalamazoo Public Library hosts their Friends of KPL annual Book Sale and children's area.
The Downtown Ambassadors are in full customer mode and are a great resource if you need a little more directions.
This is Downtown Kalamazoo's weekend for celebration of the arts, inclusion, and welcome to the fun that we have when people come together to celebrate their community.
Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair

The 74th annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair, the second oldest arts fair in the country, is a two-day, juried show featuring 100+ fine artists. Staged in the shady, historic Bronson Park, the Arts Fair is acclaimed for its one-of-a-kind art, friendly atmosphere and overall experience.

Kalamazoo Pride

"Once Upon a Time" theme!
